EmailOctopus is an email marketing platform run by Three Hearts Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09897211) with its registered office in Shoreditch, London.¹ The company traces its start to 2015, when its founders wanted a simpler and cheaper way to stay in touch with their own audience, and it says it has since helped over 100,000 users and keeps a small team (vendor-stated).² It also offers a separate Amazon SES product, EmailOctopus Connect, with its own pricing.³ For a one-person company it covers the core of list email: a drag-and-drop or HTML editor with 100+ templates, merge-tag personalization, automations, landing pages and sign-up forms.³

Its free Starter plan holds 2,500 subscribers and 10,000 emails a month, with EmailOctopus branding on emails, reports kept for 30 days, one landing page, one form and one user.³ The price table built into the pricing page lists Pro at $13.50 a month on monthly billing for 501 to 1,000 subscribers, or $144 a year, with 10,000 emails a month; Pro removes the branding, keeps reports forever and allows unlimited landing pages, forms and users.³ As the list grows, EmailOctopus moves the account to the right plan automatically, so a founder doesn't have to adjust the plan by hand; nonprofits get a 20% lifetime discount, and lists over 500,000 subscribers get a quote.³ The $13.50 price ranks second of 13 in OneManOnly's Cheapest Paid Email Platform at 1,000 Subscribers, and the free plan is one of six there that already fit a 1,000-subscriber list.
